Recently officially opened by The Princess Royal amidst the pandemic, the new £40M facility has been built to accommodate more students than the previous 56 year old building, and provide up-to-date modern facilities. LabFX Ltd took part in a competitive tender process that was controlled by the Jersey Government and not the main contractor. Following a visit by Jersey government officials to our factory here in Hull, we were awarded the contract for the fitted furniture for the new 11,000m2 secondary School.
This project was a very prestigious building and high-profile development for the public of the Island of Jersey. See the images in our case study that best exemplify this.
We worked closely with the JPH (Jersey Property Holdings) architectural team, the FF&E Partner and the school, to agree specifications and colours for the significant amount of bespoke fitted furniture.
The Jersey Government team were very pleased with our overall professionalism, approach, general helpfulness and overall communication from key members of the LabFX team, throughout all stages of our engagement on this project, and stated this has been exemplary. To the extent that they were very happy to award us a second project (Grainville) to produce 21 Teacher Media Wall units for this school. We received an excellent reference for our work from Jersey Government for our wok on Les Quennevais. jersey-gov-lq-labfx-testimony-july-2021.pdf
